About Waste to Resource (W2R)
Waste to Resource (W2R) is a sustainability-focused non-government organization working to address Bangladesh’s growing waste crisis by transforming waste into valuable resources. Our core belief is that waste is not a burden—it is an opportunity. Through innovation, research, community engagement, and practical waste management solutions, we aim to build a circular economy that ensures environmental protection, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
Founded with the vision of creating a Zero Waste Bangladesh, Waste to Resource operates at the intersection of environmental science, social entrepreneurship, and grassroots action. We work with communities, institutions, industries, and young innovators to reduce pollution, recover resources, and promote responsible consumption and production.
Our Mission
Our mission is to minimize environmental pollution and landfill dependency by promoting effective waste collection, segregation, recycling, upcycling, and resource recovery. We aim to empower communities, support research and innovation, and develop sustainable waste management models that are environmentally sound, economically viable, and socially inclusive.

What We Do
Waste to Resource works through integrated and impact-driven approaches, including:
Waste Collection & Segregation: Promoting source-level segregation and organized waste collection systems. Recycling & Upcycling: Converting plastic, paper, textile, metal, electronic, and organic waste into reusable resources. Research & Innovation: Developing research-based and grant-supported solutions for sustainable waste management. Awareness & Capacity Building: Conducting seminars, workshops, and campaigns to promote environmental responsibility. Community & Youth Engagement: Mobilizing volunteers and students to lead local environmental actions.Social Enterprise Development: Creating income-generating and scalable waste-based solutions.
